Hello friends!
I drew this comic an entire calendar year ago. I had been holding onto it in hopes of it finding a home in print, but alas. Now I humbly give it to you.
Happy reading.
Goodbye Virtual World
This comic carries a lot of the sentiments I feel about AI and the Internet. But then again, if I really cared about going analogue, I’d probably not be on social media at all. I’d have a dumb phone and I’d buy DVDs of my favorite movies and CDs of my favorite albums instead of streaming. I’d purchase physical newspapers. I don’t know that I have the funds to convert fully analogue, nor do I truly have the adaptability to make the change in one fell swoop. But maybe I can start to try?? Maybe all this comic is about is noticing how we lean on devices that take us from what’s real. Maybe the first step to change is just noticing the problem at all.

This captured a lot of what I’ve been feeling lately as an artist and person. Thanks for writing and drawing this beautiful piece <3
Beautiful how you use color to navigate between the two worlds! And although I agree about prioritizing real life community, I am very happy to find stories like these in the big blue void :)
