Saving Daylight Magazine
I’m excited to share my comic, “The Call,” which was recently published in the “New Beginnings” issue of Saving Daylight Magazine! This is one of the most beautiful comics I’ve drawn, and I’m so happy it found a home in a print magazine. If you want to hold this comic in your hands, you can order it here.
This comic means a lot to me because it captures a feeling that is so fleeting and difficult to describe. It’s easy to wave away “calls” from the universe. It’s easy to assume that the big feeling in your gut is your lunch talking or random anxiety or a flash of unexpected emotions. And sometimes it is that.
But other times — it’s an acknowledgement of something you knew deep in your bones and didn’t want to admit. Or it’s an acceptance of something you were afraid of. A call from the universe can be anything! What’s important is to not miss it.

The Process
I can’t look at this comic without thinking of The Say So by Julia Franks. I listened to the entire book on Audible while I was coloring the pages. It’s a fantastic book and I highly recommend it — especially on audio.

Thanks for reading! Hope y’all have a great rest of your week.

This is such a beautiful comic. I know the tug you speak of. It’s a call that must be answered.
